i talked to my daughter yesterday(the one who lives in oregon) she told me that my two grandsons who r both in kindergarden in the same class will probally be held back and not go to 1st grade. i knew about a month ago that they could be held back but i was hoping that by the time they would know for sure they both would of improved and they could both go to 1st grade.  anyway one is 5 and the other is 6 well the teacher said the 5 year old might be able to go to first grade and make it but not the 6 year old.  the thing is i do want whats best for them but first of all they are in the same class, second is they go to school half a day and its only 4 days a week and there are at least 30 kids in one class with 2 teachers and one teenage aide to help. that i am pissed off about from the beginning that i found out that it was 4 days a week and half a day, i think thats totally stupid, all the kids are getting screwed in the long run! if they were here they could of been in school all day and 5 days a week, anyway im pretty upset about the whole thing. i know my grandsons arent stupid and i know if they were somewhere where they would of gotten more teaching it wouldnt be like it is right now.
